Driving a fundraising campaign through Storytelling

25 May 2014 by Sarah

When vet Lisa Milella was given a terminal diagnosis she embarked on an amazing bucket list to help animals around the world.

She was interviewed by us, after fulfilling nine of her aims - but one wish remained... for 100 strangers to donate £1oo to a charity close to her heart: International Animal Rescue based in West Sussex.

We arranged for her story to appear in last week's Sunday People and Mirror Online and we're delighted to reveal that generous readers have smashed her £10,000 fundraising target. It currently stands at £11,200... and rising after it was shared all over the world. Lisa said: "I'm so humbled that people from the UK to America have all donated. It will save so many animals from a life of suffering. Thank you."
